The Artistry of Paul Musaracchia

The Artist

Paul Musaracchia is a metal sculptor who creates life out of metal. His welded sculptures, made from odd pieces of iron, steel, brass or copper, are sometimes humorous, sometimes poignant. They can depict situations from life of scenes from sports, plays, novels, movies or wherever his imagination takes him.

He has won many awards at shows along the Eastern Coast, such as the first prize Bicentennial Award in Sculpture at the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit, New York City and first prizes, consecutively, in the Spring and Fall shows of the Brooklyn Arts and Cultural Association, Brooklyn, New York.

Many of his sculptures are represented in the Cousley Museum of Historical Collections, Englewood, New Jersey.

Paul is a member of the Brooklyn Arts and Cultural Association and a member of All Communities Arts, Brooklyn, New York.

He has exhibited at the Brooklyn Museum; Union Carbide, New York, Gracie Mansion, New York; Brooklyn College; Promenade Brooklyn Heights Shows; Washington Square Outodoor Art Exhibit Shows and numerous one-man shows.

Paul is a self taught artist. Given some scraps of metal, he can come up with a creation that is at once a clever caricature and amazing symphony of motion that is art.
